Employee Retention
It’s estimated that employee replacement cost is 1 ½ to 2x their annual salary, which doesn’t account for ancillary costs that aren’t as measurable. Continued investment in current employees and a commitment to their professional development not only benefits your bottom line, but it also helps to boost morale and strengthen company culture. The Satellite Women’s Conference (SWC) takes a holistic approach to this. We believe that creating a space designed for women in this industry to come together to improve their business acumen, prioritize their personal health, and share their experiences will lead to a deeper network of resources and better industry overall.
Professional Development – Continuous training results in 50% higher net sales per employee. SWC is committed to providing the latest educational content in portable sanitation, business operations and personal growth & well-being. We invest in sought-after speakers, industry experts and innovators to connect with attendees in an approachable environment so the learning is current, hands-on, and truly impactful. We connect with industry professionals to learn challenges they are facing, new solutions they are adopting, tried and true methods that have brought success. We bring those conversations to our attendees so that everyone may benefit from shared collective knowledge. Whether new to the industry, a veteran or somewhere in between, women in all roles within their organization have expressed what a valuable experience this conference is for them each year. While some sessions are portable sanitation industry focused, we offer a wide range of topics that can benefit all women and provide them with substantial takeaways to immediately impact their business and their lives.
Community & Network – People are 90% more likely to trust and buy from a brand recommended by a friend. SWC is committed to maintaining an accessible community. We strive to find locations around the country to host the conference that creates an exceptional experience for a growing, dynamic, female-centered audience. This has forged a network of women across the country that otherwise would not have had the opportunity to connect on a genuine level. The immeasurable value is a trusted community of mentors and friends that can become professional resources, referrals, and personal connections.
FUN – “People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing” – Dale Carnegie. At the end of the day, we make sure there is plenty of time for laughter during the conference because those are the moments that sincerely reinforce our unique connections and prioritize the critical human component of work. Happy people are motivated, measure a higher rate of productivity, and have lower overall stress. That is always good for your bottom line.
I’m assuming you’ll see this email in the morning but for me it’s 6:30pm on a Tuesday night. I just got a text from a woman I met at the conference who saw my post on Facebook selling a restroom trailer. My email is not about her or selling the trailer, my email is about what goes through my brain when I get a text on my cell from someone I met at the conference. I know there are a lot of trade shows that men and women go to, but the women’s conference is unique. And by unique I mean that women have a completely different thought process, and a different way of connecting to people in general than men, but especially to other women. The women’s conference I feel has brought all of us closer and let us feel non-vulnerable in a man dominated industry. I feel like without the conference and her recognizing my name she would not have texted me about the trailer. I’m not sure who’s brainchild the women’s conference was, but I would like to shake their hand.
Attending the Women's Satellite Conference for the past two years has been an incredibly enriching experience. Initially, I was hesitant due to my busy schedule and the need to ensure that any commitment of my time held significant value. However, from the moment I first attended, I was hooked. The conference was impeccably organized, and we were treated with the utmost professionalism and respect, making us feel like royalty.
The quality of the speakers was exceptional, offering top-notch insights and inspiring talks. Moreover, the conference provided a safe and empowering space for women in the male-dominated portable sanitation industry. The value of this experience is truly priceless, and I eagerly look forward to it every year.
From the moment you reach the registration desk at the Satellite Women's Conference, you know you've stepped into an experience. Every detail of the event is thoughtfully planned with special touches to make each element of the conference memorable. Speaker sessions are interactive, breakout session topics are diverse, and evening activities always lead to laughter with new friends. Most importantly, the Satellite Women's Conference creates a space dedicated for women in the industry to recognize the value of their unique perspective and skills and empower them to lead with those proudly everywhere they go after.
I love bringing women from all facets of our team. The timing, structure, and diverse SWC attendees from all over the world makes for a wonderful networking, learning, and FUN event!
