The security and privacy of our customers is a top priority. Cyber threats are evolving rapidly, and businesses of all sizes are targets for attacks that can compromise sensitive information and disrupt operations. We want to help you stay aware of recent events and ways to protect your organization.
Recently, there have been reports of phishing emails targeting our customers. These emails may look like they’re coming from Satellite, asking you to update your ACH information or send a payment. The sender's email address might be just slightly off, so please be extra cautious.
Such as misspelling @sateliteindustries.com for example missing an L.
We take this matter very seriously and want you to know that the malicious perpetrators did not obtain any private customer information. If you have acted on a suspected fraudulent email, please contact your financial institution.
IMPORTANT TO NOTESatellite has not changed our banking information.
Payments should always be made from our invoice information. To safeguard yourself against these fraudulent activities, we recommend the following precautions:
Please make sure you are corresponding with a known Satellite contact.
Be vigilant with your personal information: Avoid sharing sensitive details such as account numbers, passwords, or social security numbers via email, phone, or any unsecured channels.
Regularly review your financial statements: Keep a close eye on your bank statements, credit card bills, and any other financial transactions. If you notice any suspicious activity or unauthorized charges, report them immediately to your financial institution.
Beware of phishing attempts: Exercise caution when clicking on links or downloading attachments in emails, especially if they seem suspicious or are from unknown sources. It's a common phishing tactic to impersonate a trusted party.
Thank you for your continued trust and support. Together, we can combat fraudulent activities and protect our community.
